About the Role
As Team Leader, you will provide effective leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred services in line with national standards, legislation, and organisational policies.
You will support and develop staff, oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, promote a positive team culture, and ensure the people we support are empowered to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred services.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with HIQA Standards, relevant legislation, and organisational policies.
- Promote the rights, dignity, independence, and inclusion of the people we support.
- Support staff through supervision, mentoring, and performance management.
- Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and continuous development initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication with families, multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
- Promote a culture of safeguarding, health and safety, and positive risk management.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care Studies or an equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
- Full CORU registration is an essential requirement for this role. Applicants must be registered with CORU at the time of application and maintain their registration throughout their employment.
- A minimum of 2 years’ management or supervisory experience in a comparable role.
- At least 3 years’ experience supporting vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or complex support needs.
- A strong understanding of person-centred practice and current developments within disability services.
- Knowledge of HIQA Standards, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
- A full, clean driver’s licence.
