Job Title: Staff and Senior Speech and Language Therapist-CDNT
Location: Tipperary
Organization: Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT)
Working Hours: Full Time Monday – Friday
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Tipperary. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work with children and young people with complex needs, helping them develop essential communication and language skills. Your role will contribute to improving the quality of life and social inclusion for children with a range of disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage children with communication, speech, language, and feeding difficulties.
- Develop individualized therapy programs tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists, to provide holistic care.
- Work with families and caregivers, offering support, education, and strategies to assist with the child’s development.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions, goal-setting, and outcome reviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Provide recommendations for assistive technologies or alternative communication methods where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registered with CORU or eligibility to register.
- Experience working with children and young people with disabilities is an advantage.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
