Contract: Fixed-Term contract
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday
About the Role
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist seeking a fulfilling role in children’s disability services? Our client is hiring both Staff Grade and Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapists to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Kilkenny.
You will work within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, family-centered care to children and young people with developmental delays and disabilities. Key Responsibilities
For Staff Grade:
- Conduct assessments, interventions, and reviews for children with communication and feeding/swallowing needs.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver individualized care plans.
- Support children and families to achieve meaningful outcomes.
For Senior Grade:
- Lead and manage a caseload of complex cases.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior therapists.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the team.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- A recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by CORU.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with CORU.
- Relevant experience in paediatric services (level dependent on grade).
Additional for Senior Grade:
- Minimum three years’ post-qualification experience, with at least one year in paediatrics or disability.
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and mentor junior staff.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to a child and family-centered approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
