The Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) will be a key member of a multidisciplinary Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT), delivering assessment and intervention services to children and young people aged 0–18 years with complex disability-related needs. The role focuses on family-centred practice and aims to support children’s functional communication, feeding, and overall development.
This post is based in Trim, Co. Meath, and applications are welcome from Staff Grade or Senior Grade SLTs.
Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for children with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and other health and education professionals.

Deliver services using family-centred, evidence-based, and best-practice approaches.

Develop, implement, and review individualised intervention plans in partnership with parents/carers and relevant community supports.

Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and service planning activities.

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation and reports.

Provide education, guidance, and training to parents, carers, and other professionals as required.

Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.

Contribute to service development, audit processes, and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements

A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.

Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist (or eligibility to register).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

A full, clean driving licence and access to transport for community-based work.
