Speech and Language Therapist
We are currently recruiting Staff Grade and Senior Speech & Language Therapists to join a supportive Adult Acute Services covering Kildare and Wicklow.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with adults across community and residential settings, providing high-quality assessment and intervention for individuals with communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering person-centred care and achieving the best possible outcomes for service users.
The Role
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage adults presenting with communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based, person-centred intervention plans.
- Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Nursing staff, Medical teams, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support adults with a range of neurological, age-related, and complex medical conditions.
- Provide education and advice to families, carers, and healthcare staff.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Senior applicants will also provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior colleagues and students.
Requirements
Staff Grade
- Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
- CORU registration.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Adult clinical placement or experience is desirable.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable.
Senior Grade
- Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
- CORU registration.
- A minimum of three years’ post-qualification clinical experience.
- Experience managing adult communication and dysphagia caseloads.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff is desirable.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable.
