Speech and Language Therapist
Medforce Recruitment, in partnership with the HSE, is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of an experienced interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, family-centred services to children and young people with complex developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Deliver comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments and interventions for children and young people within the CDNT.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers) to ensure coordinated, family-centred care.
- Provide support, advice, and training to families, caregivers, and educational staff to facilitate the child’s communication and participation.
- Contribute to individual family service plans (IFSPs) and team goal-setting meetings.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in service planning and development activities.
- Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and supervision as appropriate.
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist (or in the process of registration).
- Experience working with children or young people with developmental delays, disabilities, or communication needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within an MDT.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport desirable.
