Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Staff Grade and Senior Speech and Language Therapists to join progressive and supportive Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) based in Meath.
These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to work as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
Your Role as a Speech and Language Therapist Will Include:
- Assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with a range of communication needs
- Collaborative goal setting with families using a family-centred practice model
- Working within a supportive IDT including OT, PT, Psychology, Social Work, and Nursing
- Participation in team planning, service development, and quality improvement initiatives
- For Senior SLT: providing clinical supervision and leadership to junior colleagues
Essential Criteria for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- For Senior Grade: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in the area of disability or paediatrics
Desirable:
- Experience in working within CDNTs or with children with complex communication needs
- Postgraduate training in areas such as AAC, SCERTS, dysphagia (if relevant), or parent training programmes
- Familiarity with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) framework
