Medforce Recruitment is proud to partner with a Primary Care team in Cavan to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist to work with paediatric clients. This is an exciting opportunity to provide early intervention and support to children and families in a community-based setting, helping them thrive through accessible, child-centred care.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and public health nurses
- Deliver individual and group-based therapy sessions
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educators to ensure consistent and effective support
- Participate in care planning, team meetings, and service development initiatives
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Experience working with children in a community, educational, or clinical setting is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A full driver’s licence and access to transport may be required for community visits
