Speech and Language Therapist
Medforce are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to provide high-quality Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services to children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs. The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering services in line with national and HSE best practice standards.
Responsibilities of Speech and Language Therapist
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, communication, and feeding difficulties in children aged 0–18.
- Design and deliver evidence-based individualised and group interventions.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other relevant stakeholders to support children’s communication in everyday environments.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team planning, case management, and clinical review.
- Provide education and training to parents, carers, and educational staff as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and statistical returns.
- Participate in service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development and supervision.
Requirements of Speech and Language Therapist
- Degree or Masters in Speech and Language Therapy approved by CORU.
- Be registered, or eligible for registration, with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Possess a full, clean driving licence and access to a car for work purposes (if community visits are required).
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with children and/or in a paediatric setting.
- Familiarity with relevant systems and documentation standards.
