Medforce Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client whospecialises in Adult Rehabilitation in an Acute setting in Limerick, to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist to join their Adult Rehabilitation Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapist to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment helping adults regain communication and swallowing functions following illness or injury.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Deliver individualised, evidence-based assessment and intervention for adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders
- Work closely with the MDT including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, dietitians, and medical staff to provide integrated rehabilitation care
- Participate in care planning, team discussions, and goal-setting for patients
- Support patients and families with education and strategies to enhance communication and quality of life
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service evaluation and development
Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Experience working with adults in a hospital or rehabilitation setting is desirable
- Competence or interest in dysphagia assessment and management
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- A full driver’s licence and access to transport is an advantage
