Speech and Language Therapist
Are you a motivated Speech and Language Therapist with experience managing a dysphagia caseload?
Medforce are seeking a CORU registered Speech and Language Therapist to join our client’s team in a prestigious acute facilty based in West Dublin.
Our client offers comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services to both inpatients and outpatients. The SLT department is dedicated to assessing and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. The team is staffed by qualified professionals with excellent structures and supervision in place for staff grade SLTs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive dysphagia assessments and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide therapy and intervention for patients with communication disorders.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals.
- Develop and deliver tailored rehabilitation programmes to support patients’ recovery.
- Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers regarding swallowing and communication difficulties.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- CORU registration (or eligibility to register).
- Experience in dysphagia management.
- Competency in instrumental dysphagia assessments (e.g., VFSS, FEES) is an advantage.
