Speech and Language Therapist

Medforce are seeking a dedicated Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join our client’s team in an acute care environment based in Drogheda, Louth.
This is a full time, 35 hour week spread across Monday – Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunties.
You will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients, including:
- Managing a dysphagia caseload for stroke patients and those with general medical conditions.
- Performing comprehensive assessments and developing individualised care plans.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Providing education and advice to patients, families, and caregivers about communication and swallowing disorders.

Essential Criteria
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and current registration with CORU.
- Experience managing a dysphagia caseload in an acute or similar setting.
- Knowledge of stroke care and general medical conditions.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and patient-centered approach to care.
