Speech & Language Therapist – Acute Dysphagia
Are you a passionate Speech & Language Therapist looking to develop your skills in acute dysphagia management? Our client is seeking a Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join the dynamic team in their acute setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute hospital setting, providing high-quality care to patients with swallowing and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Perform specialist dysphagia assessments & interventions in an acute setting.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to support patients’ recovery and nutritional needs.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development initiatives.
Essential Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
- Experience in adult dysphagia management (placement or post-qualification).
- Strong communication & teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute hospital setting.
