Speech and Language Therapist
Our client is seeking a Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Laois. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, family-centered care to children and young people with complex disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and interventions for children with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support children’s communication development.
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers to provide integrated care.
- Support families and caregivers with education and strategies to enhance communication at home and in the community.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification and CORU registration.
- Experience working with children and young people with disabilities (placement experience considered).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to providing child- and family-centered care.
