Speech and Language Therapist
Our client’s Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Mullingar provides essential, family-centered care to children with disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children’s communication and feeding needs.
Job Summary:
We are seeking Staff and Senior Speech and Language Therapists to provide high-quality assessment and intervention services for children with disabilities. The successful candidates will work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to help children develop their communication, speech, and language skills and support those with feeding and swallowing difficulties.
Positions Available:
- Staff Grade SLT: Ideal for newly qualified or early-career therapists eager to develop their skills in a supportive team.
- Senior Grade SLT: Suited for experienced therapists ready to take on a leadership role in assessments, interventions, and service development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and implement evidence-based interventions for children with communication and feeding difficulties.
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans to support each child’s unique needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Provide training and guidance to families and caregivers to help implement therapy strategies at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service planning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and CORU registration.
- Staff Grade: Open to newly qualified therapists eager to develop in the field.
- Senior Grade: Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with paediatrics and disability experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to family-centered and evidence-based practice.
