Speech and Language Therapist – Acute Hospital
Medforce are delighted to be partnering with an acute Hospital in Meath who are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist. The Therapist will ideally come with Dysphagia Competencies and experience.
My client has a total of 107 beds and provides a general acute hospital service to the catchment area of Meath and a Regional Elective Orthopaedic service.
Duties include:
- Completing bedside assessments and developing treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Participating in professional development and continuing education activities
- Identify patients needing objective assessment such as Videofluoroscopy or FEES
- Working closely with other MDT members to co-ordinate referrals and allocate resources
- Ensure therapy is evidenced based and provided in accordance with standards of professional practice
- Follow protocols and procedures for working with patients in their home
- Participating in CPD, meetings and supervision.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist
- A Relevant Qualification is required
- CORU registration mandatory
- Experience in Dysphagia
- Full Driving License and access to own transport
