Position Summary:
As a Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations and work closely with physicians and healthcare providers. You will be responsible for obtaining high-quality images, analysing them for accuracy, and providing essential information for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular scans.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Accurately capture and record high-quality diagnostic images.
- Analyse the images to ensure diagnostic quality and completeness.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other medical staff to interpret ultrasound results.
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and explaining the procedure to patients.
- Maintain patient records, adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing workflow to optimize efficiency in the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Active certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- Minimum of [insert years] of experience as a Sonographer (new graduates may also apply).
- Proficiency in abdominal, obstetric, and gynecological sonography; vascular sonography is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate results.
