Social Worker – CAMHS
Medforce are delighted to announce that we are currently hiring for a Social Worker for a CAMHS team in North Dublin.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our client’s CAMHS team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive social work services to children and adolescents with mental health issues. This role involves assessing clients’ needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental and emotional well-being of young clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Assessment and Treatment Planning:
- Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments of children and adolescents referred to mental health services.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address the mental health needs of children and adolescents.
Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using appropriate therapeutic modalities.
- Offer crisis intervention and support to clients and their families.
- Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and available treatments.
Case Management:
- Coordinate with schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans.
Advocacy and Support:
- Advocate for clients’ needs within the mental health system and in the community.
- Provide support and resources to families to enhance their understanding and ability to manage their child’s mental health condition.
- Assist clients and families in navigating the mental health and social services systems.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other professionals to provide holistic care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures
- Stay current with advancements in mental health treatment and social work practices.
- Attend continuing education sessions, workshops, and training programs.
- Participate in supervision and peer consultation sessions to enhance clinical skills.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- BSc/MSs in Social Work
- CORU Registration
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
- Full Drivers license and access to own vehicle (desired)
