Social Worker – Adult Safeguarding
Our client is dedicated to supporting and protecting vulnerable adults, promoting their rights, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Their Adult Safeguarding team works collaboratively with individuals, families, and community services to address concerns, prevent harm, and enhance quality of life.
Key Responsibilities of Social Worker Adult Safeguarding
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify safeguarding needs and risks for adults.
- Develop and implement safeguarding plans in collaboration with the individual, their family, and relevant stakeholders.
- Work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care and protection.
- Provide advocacy and support to individuals to promote their rights and independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with legal and organizational requirements.
- Offer guidance, advice, and training on adult safeguarding to colleagues and partner organizations.
- Ensure compliance with national safeguarding policies, standards, and procedures.
Requirements of Social Worker – Adult Safeguarding
- A recognized qualification in Social Work and current registration with CORU.
- Experience in adult safeguarding, social work, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build trust and establish positive relationships with individuals and families.
- A commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and autonomy of adults.
