Are you a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children? We are seeking a Professionally Qualified Social Worker (PQSW) to join a supportive Children in Care team based in Limerick.

Role Overview:
As a key member of the Children in Care team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children in foster care or residential care. Your role will centre on ensuring their safety, emotional wellbeing, and long-term development through care planning, family work, and interagency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out statutory duties under the Child Care Act and related legislation
- Complete comprehensive assessments and care plans
- Engage with children, families, and foster carers to provide ongoing support
- Prepare reports for court and attend care review meetings
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
- Advocate for the rights and needs of each child in care
Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in Social Work
- CORU registration (essential)
- Experience in child protection, children in care, or family support (desirable)
- Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
- A trauma-informed and child-centred approach to care
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle (community travel required)
