Medforce Recruitment is proud to partner with a dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Westmeath, to recruit Professionally Qualified Social Workers and Senior Social Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team that supports young people and their families through complex emotional and psychological challenges.
About the Role:
As a Social Worker within CAMHS, you will play a vital role in the delivery of therapeutic, recovery-focused care to children and adolescents. You’ll carry out assessments, support treatment planning, and work collaboratively to promote positive mental health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker:
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop person-centred care plans
- Provide individual and family-based interventions
- Collaborate closely with psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and occupational therapy teams
- Liaise with schools, GPs, and community supports
- Senior Social Worker: Supervise junior staff, contribute to service development, and provide clinical leadership
Requirements for the Social Worker:
Staff Grade:
- CORU registration as a Social Worker (essential)
- Experience (placement or post-qualification) in mental health, child protection, or youth settings
- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
Senior Grade:
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience (including CAMHS or relevant mental health work)
- Experience in clinical supervision, complex case management, and interagency collaboration
- Demonstrated contribution to service development
