Medforce is delighted to partner with our client who specialises in Young Adult Mental Health Service (YAMHS) to recruit part-time Professionally Qualified and Senior Social Workers for Longford Westmeath. This service plays a vital role in supporting young people aged 16–25 who are navigating complex mental health challenges during a crucial stage of development.
About the Role:
As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care coordination for service users. You will contribute to recovery-focused care planning, support young adults and their families, and liaise with community and statutory services.
Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and create person-centred care plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and crisis support
- Collaborate with professionals across psychiatry, psychology, OT, and nursing
- Liaise with schools, GPs, housing, employment, and family supports
- Senior Social Worker: Provide supervision and leadership; drive service planning and development
Requirements for the Social Worker:
Staff Grade:
- Recognised qualification in Social Work
- CORU registration
- Experience (placement or post-qual) in youth mental health or similar settings
Senior Grade:
- At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience in mental health services and working with complex presentations
- Supervisory and service development experience
