Professionally Qualified Social Worker
Our client is seeking a Professionally Qualified Social Worker (PQSW) to join the Children in Care Team in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity to support vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services to children in care, supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs.
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring each child receives appropriate support and intervention.
- Work closely with foster families, residential care teams, and other professionals to ensure a child-centered approach.
- Conduct assessments and provide advocacy, ensuring the voice of the child is central to decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to case reviews, court reports, and care planning meetings.
Requirements:
- Recognised Social Work qualification and full CORU registration.
- Experience working with children and families, ideally within a child protection or children-in-care setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing a child-centered and trauma-informed approach to care.
