Social Worker

Medforce have an opportunity available for a CORU registered Social Worker to join a well-established team in Dublin 09.
This is a truly exciting opportunity for a CORU registered Social Worker to join a friendly, robust, Assessment and Intervention team.
Assessment and Intervention Team – In this role, you will conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and strengths, and develop targeted intervention plans to ensure child safety and well-being. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide direct support to families, and make informed decisions to safeguard vulnerable children. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in child protection, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families during challenging times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for individuals and families reaching out for social care support.
- Conduct initial assessments, triage cases, and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
- Provide information, advice, and emotional support to clients in crisis situations.
- Work in collaboration with other social workers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to deliver effective care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes and ensure confidentiality in all interactions.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss complex cases and share expertise.
- Keep up to date with best practices, legislation, and guidelines in the field of social work.
- Promote and advocate for the rights of vulnerable individuals and ensure they receive appropriate services.
Requirements:
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council) as a Social Worker.
- Previous experience in a front-line social work role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
- A passion for helping vulnerable individuals and advocating for their needs.
- Understanding of the Irish social care system, including relevant legislation and community resources.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and using case management systems.
