Social Care Leader
Location: Artane
Medforce is seeking a qualified Social Care Leader with experience supporting children and young adults who exhibit challenging behaviors. Join our team and enjoy competitive pay rates along with rewarding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Coordination: Plan and coordinate daily shifts and rostering arrangements within the unit.
- Supervision: Oversee Social Care Workers and ensure effective guidance and support for the team.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage all administrative procedures related to in-house cash and payroll.
- Child-Centered Care: Address the primary care needs of each young person and contribute to stimulating activity programs.
- Record Management: Maintain and update relevant records and files, and provide written reports for reviews and case conferences.
- Safety and Advocacy: Ensure the rights and responsibilities of children are respected, preventing any forms of abuse, including bullying.
- Therapeutic Approach: Develop and maintain a therapeutic environment, focusing on individual and group work with young people and their families.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a residential setting
- CORU Registered desirable
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and risk management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including social work departments and healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
