Social Care Assistant
We are currently recruiting Social Care Assistants on behalf of a leading national organisation supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism across residential and day services. These roles are based in Kilkenny.

Key Responsibilities

Support individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities in residential and day service settings

Promote person-centred approaches in line with best practice and regulatory standards

Assist with daily living activities and support plans

Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements
-
Minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care or relevant qualification (e.g. BA in Social Care Studies, Community Care, Health or Social Care equivalent)

At least 1 year’s experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities

Understanding of current policy and developments within disability services
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)

Full clean driver’s licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
