Social Care Assistant
Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Assistant to join our team in Tipperary. This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting, enabling them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
About the Role:
As a Social Care Assistant, you will:
- Support residents in all aspects of daily living, promoting independence and personal development.
- Provide personal care in line with individual care plans.
- Assist with social, recreational, and educational activities within the community.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning.
- Work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, ensuring a person-centred approach.
Requirements for the Social Care Assistant:
- A relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Health or Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, and inclusion of people with disabilities.
- Flexibility to work a roster that includes evenings, weekends, and sleepovers as required.
