Medforce are working with a South Dublin Primary Care which provides essential health services in the community, supporting individuals and families closer to home. Their multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to deliver accessible, patient-centred care across a range of health needs with paediatrics.
The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to paediatric clients (0–18 years) within a Primary Care setting.
- Carry out assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for individuals with communication, language, and speech difficulties.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary Primary Care team, supporting clients, their families/carers, and other health professionals.
- Supervise and support Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapists within the team.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Speech and Language Therapist
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to paediatric client needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service evaluation and development.
- Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary meetings, and care planning.
- Provide advice, education, and training to families, carers, and colleagues.
- Ensure services are delivered in line with professional standards and national policies.
- Act as a point of clinical expertise within the Primary Care team.
Requirements of Senior Speech and Language Therapist
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with significant experience in paediatric speech and language therapy.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supervising junior staff desirable.
