Senior Speech and Language Therapist
About the Role:
Our client requires an experienced and motivated Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team supporting adults in South Dublin.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Speech and Language Therapist:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults with a wide range of communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop and implement personalised therapy programmes in collaboration with service users, families, and carers.
- Deliver interventions using best practice approaches, and adapt therapy techniques based on individual needs and goals.
- Manage a varied caseload independently and provide clinical leadership on complex cases.
- Offer guidance, clinical supervision, and mentoring to junior colleagues and students.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and effective communication across services.
- Contribute to quality improvement, service audits, and development initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and remain up to date with clinical and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements of the Senior Speech and Language Therapist:
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally with at least 1 year working at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in adult services, particularly in managing communication disorders and dysphagia.
- Postgraduate training or certification in dysphagia management is desirable.
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.
- Organisational skills to manage a busy caseload and contribute to service development.
