Senior Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking a passionate Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our client’s Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Athlone. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting children with disabilities to enhance their communication skills and overall development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children with a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Work closely with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to support the child’s development.
- Provide training and guidance to parents and professionals on communication strategies.
- Contribute to service planning, development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and CORU registration.
- A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in paediatrics and disability services.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting.
