Senior Social Worker
Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Trim, Co. Meath.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with complex disabilities and their families.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with children, young people, parents, carers, and a wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, family-centred social work interventions.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker:
- Manage an allocated caseload of children and young people with complex disability needs.
- Complete comprehensive social work assessments and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide professional Social Work support and intervention to children, young people, and their families.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, community services, and other relevant agencies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to coordinated care planning.
- Advocate for children and families and support access to appropriate services and resources.
- Provide advice and support around social care, family, safeguarding, and disability-related needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives.
- Support and provide guidance to less experienced Social Workers and other members of the wider team where appropriate.
Requirements for the Senior Social Worker:
- Recognised qualification in Social Work.
- CORU registration as a Social Worker is essential.
- Significant post-qualification experience working as a Social Worker.
- Previous experience working with children and/or young people with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary or community-based setting.
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
- Strong clinical reasoning and professional decision-making skills.
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car may be required for community-based work.
