Senior Radiation Therapist

We are recruiting two Senior Radiation Therapists on behalf of a highly advanced cancer centre located in Cork and Limerick. We are also seeking two Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapists so if you are looking for one step abovve senior, please reach out to me to discuss the role.
Role: A fulltime permanent position, 37 hour working week across Monday-Friday.
The successful candidate will be involved as part of a team in the day to day running of the treatment machine and planning suite. Your role will be slpit between clinical and planning. You will also be involved in the department’s continuous quality improvement and contribute to the clinical implementation of new techniques together with the Radiotherapy Manager, Superintendents and Physics team.
You will have access to the latest technology and equipment in cancer research including 2 Varian linear accelerators: a TrueBean and an Edge. My client also offers IMRT, V-MAT and advanced techniques including SRS and SABR. They have a GE CT-simulation scanner and provide Radiation Therapist-led IV contrast delivery.

Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program in an Irish/EU/AMA-approved institution.
- CORU Registration essential
- Must have have 3-5 years relevant and appropriate post graduate Radiotherapy experience
- Previous experience within all aspects of radiotherapy; quality assurance, pre-treatment, and treatment
- Evidence of effective staff liaison and co-operative working
- Experience of proactively evolving radiotherapy techniques
- Evidence of effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to make independent judgments/decisions, ability to solve problems
