Senior Physiotherapist
We are currently recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist specialising in Pelvic Health to join a Primary Care Team based in Athleague, Co. Roscommon. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a community setting delivering specialist care to adults with pelvic health conditions.
You will play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Physiotherapist:
- Provide specialist assessment and treatment for pelvic health conditions including:
- Urinary and faecal incontinence
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Antenatal and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment programmes
- Deliver education and advice to patients to support self-management
- Work collaboratively with GPs, consultants, midwives, nurses, and other allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements for the Senior Physiotherapist:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- CORU registration
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
- Demonstrated experience in pelvic health physiotherapy
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
- Postgraduate training in pelvic health physiotherapy
- Experience in primary care or community settings
- Experience delivering group education sessions
