Senior Physiotherapist
About the Role:
Medforce is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist on behalf of a well-established Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Donegal. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and multidisciplinary team providing services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex developmental needs.
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will deliver high-quality, family-centred care that supports children to reach their full potential in mobility, function, and participation in everyday life.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Physiotherapist:
- Provide advanced physiotherapy assessments and evidence-based interventions to children with complex disabilities
- Develop individualised treatment plans in partnership with children, families, and the wider team
- Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and social workers
- Support junior colleagues and students through clinical supervision and mentorship
- Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Participate in team meetings, goal-setting sessions, and family-centred planning
Requirements of the Senior Physiotherapist:
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- CORU registration as a Physiotherapist
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in a paediatric or disability setting
- Experience working with children with complex needs, including neurological and developmental conditions
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- A flexible and compassionate approach, with a commitment to family-centred practice
Desirable:
- Postgraduate training in paediatrics, neurodevelopment, or postural management
- Previous experience in a CDNT or early intervention setting
- Experience with equipment provision and orthotics
