Senior Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics
Our clientis a leading provider of paediatric rehabilitation and orthopaedic services, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. They are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic team and support children in an acute hospital setting.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialised occupational therapy assessments and interventions for paediatric patients. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children’s rehabilitation, functional independence, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised intervention plans for paediatric patients.
- Provide specialised rehabilitation services to children recovering from orthopaedic procedures and medical conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, consultants, and nurses, to deliver holistic patient care.
- Educate and support families on therapy techniques to enhance the child’s recovery and development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service planning and development.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and CORU registration.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Essential: Previous experience working in an acute hospital setting in Ireland.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in paediatric rehabilitation, orthopaedics, or related areas is highly desirable.
