About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join their dynamic Children’s Services team in Monaghan. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with diverse needs by providing high-quality, child-centred occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children with various developmental, physical, and sensory needs.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to support children’s functional skills and independence in daily activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Engage and educate families and caregivers, providing strategies to support the child’s progress at home and in educational settings.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to junior staff and students.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within Children’s Services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in paediatric occupational therapy.
- Strong knowledge of child development and experience working with children with disabilities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
