Senior Occupational Therapist
We are currently recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team at an Acute setting based in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established mental health service, supporting adults across a range of psychiatric and rehabilitation pathways.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions within a mental health setting
- Support service users in developing skills for daily living, independence, and community reintegration
- Deliver both individual and group-based therapeutic interventions
- Contribute to care planning using a recovery-oriented approach
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, and social work
- Support discharge planning and transition to community services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
- Experience working in mental health services
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in adult mental health, rehabilitation, or inpatient settings
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups
- Interest in recovery-oriented and person-centred practice
