Senior Occupational Therapist
We are currently recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team based in Rosbrien, Limerick. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established multidisciplinary team supporting children and adolescents with a range of mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people within CAMHS
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, and other allied health professionals
- Develop, implement, and review individualised intervention plans
- Support service users in areas such as emotional regulation, daily living skills, and social participation
- Engage with families, carers, schools, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional standards
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration essential
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with relevant senior experience preferred
- Experience working in mental health, ideally within CAMHS or with children and adolescents
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
- Full driver’s licence and access to own transport
Desirable
- Experience delivering group interventions
- Training in sensory integration or CBT-informed approaches
- Previous experience within the HSE or similar setting
