Senior Occupational Therapist
We are currently recruiting Senior Occupational Therapist on behalf of a community-based adult primary care service in Dublin. This is an urgent requirement for full-time (or near full-time) cover within a busy community setting.
Location
Community-based role in South-West Dublin
Base: Ballyfermot – Work is primarily community-based, within the Ballyfermot, Palmerston, Inchicore, and Cherry Orchard areas.
Contract Duration
Initial 3-month contract
Strong possibility of month-to-month extension, depending on service needs
Role Overview
The successful candidate(s) will work within Adult Primary Care, managing a varied caseload and delivering occupational therapy interventions in the community. This is a challenging yet rewarding role within a service experiencing high demand and extended waiting lists.
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
• Adult Primary Care
• Adult Medical
• Adult Disability
• Seating and complex cases
• Neurological conditions
• Palliative care
Access to a car is essential, as the role involves community and home-based visits
Excellent written and spoken healthcare English
A positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
