Senior Occupational Therapist
Medforce Recruitment, in partnership with the HSE, is seeking a Part-Time Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a flexible part-time position within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people with complex developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
- Offer clinical supervision and guidance to staff grade occupational therapists and students where required.
- Contribute to service development initiatives and promote evidence-based practice within the CDNT.
- Support families and caregivers through education, goal setting, and home/school-based intervention planning.
- Maintain detailed clinical records and participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, ideally with paediatric or disability caseloads.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport.
