Senior Occupational Therapist
Medforce Recruitment are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team in an acute setting based in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive hospital environment where you will be a valued member of the multidisciplinary team.
Role Summary:
The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, working across a range of clinical areas within the hospital. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions to support patients in achieving independence and improving quality of life.
Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Delivering comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Working collaboratively with the MDT to deliver person-centred care.
- Supporting junior staff and students through supervision and mentoring.
- Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with hospital policies.
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- CORU registration (essential).
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience, with at least 2 years in a relevant clinical area.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable.
