We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a progressive Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Dublin. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide life-enhancing care and intervention to children with complex needs in a family-centred, multidisciplinary environment.
Role Summary:
As a Senior OT within the CDNT, you will play a key role in supporting children with physical, sensory, and developmental challenges to achieve their full potential in everyday activities. You will also provide clinical leadership to junior colleagues and contribute to service planning and development.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Deliver assessments and evidence-based interventions tailored to children’s developmental needs
- Provide guidance and training to families, caregivers, and schools
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (SLTs, PTs, Psychologists, Social Workers, etc.)
- Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to quality assurance
- Offer clinical supervision and mentoring to staff grade OTs
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally with children and/or disability services
- Strong clinical reasoning and team collaboration skills
- Experience working within family-centred or community-based models of care
- Full driving licence and access to transport (community visits may be required)
