Medforce Recruitment is delighted to partner with a Primary Care team in Monaghan to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist to work with paediatric clients. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality, early intervention services to children and families within a supportive and family-centred care model.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention to children with a range of developmental, sensory, and functional needs
- Develop individualised care plans and deliver therapy in clinic, home, and educational settings as appropriate
- Work collaboratively with families, educators, and the wider primary care team to ensure coordinated, goal-focused support
- Supervise and support junior Occupational Therapists and contribute to student training
- Participate in service development, audits, and team-based quality improvement initiatives
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration (essential)
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in paediatric services
- Strong knowledge of child development, sensory integration, and family-centred practice
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- A full driver’s licence and access to transport for community visits
