Medforce are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist for an Adult Disability Service within Community Healthcare Organisation (CHO), supporting adults with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities. The service delivers interdisciplinary, person-centred care that promotes independence, inclusion, and quality of life for service users in community and residential settings. Responsibilities of Senior Occupational Therapist
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy services for adults across a spectrum of disability needs, with a focus on functional performance, independent living, and adaptive strategies.
- Undertake environmental assessments and recommend assistive technologies or adaptations to promote safe community living.
- Lead on complex clinical cases and contribute to the care planning process within an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide supervision and support to junior occupational therapy staff, students, and therapy assistants as required.
- Collaborate with family members, carers, residential staff, and community services to implement holistic, goal-driven interventions.
- Contribute to service development, including clinical audits, quality improvement, and policy implementation.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HSE and CORU standards.
Requirements of Senior Occupational Therapist
- Min Level 8 qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by CORU.
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including relevant experience in disability services.
- Evidence of clinical expertise in working with adults with physical, sensory, and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and caseload management skills.
- Access to own transport and full, clean driving licence (essential for community visit
