Senior Occupational Therapist
Full CORU registration and a valid work permit is essential. Due to the length of the contract, sponsorship is not provided. Candidates must reside and have the right to work in Ireland.
Medforce are delighted to announce that we are currently hiring for a Senior Occupational Therapist for a dynamic, patient-centered 20 bedded Rehabilitation Unit in Enniscorthy, Wexford. The unit provides high-quality occupational therapy services for adults and elderly patients with complex needs, ensuring a patient-centered approach to rehabilitation.
The Senior Occupational Therapist will also work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, and medical professionals to develop and implement tailored treatment plans to maximize patient outcomes.
This is a full time, 35 hour week spread across Monday – Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions for patients with a variety of rehabilitation needs, including physical, cognitive, and psychological aspects.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated and holistic care.
- Support and mentor junior occupational therapists and students, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development of service improvement initiatives within the unit.
- Participate in discharge planning, liaising with community services to ensure seamless transitions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively engage in continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure high standards of practice.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a rehabilitation setting.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation practices and experience in managing complex caseloads.
