Senior Dietitian
Medforce are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Dietitian to join our client’s Eating Disorder Specialist Team in Dublin 4.
Experienced Staff Grades will also be considered for this post.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a dedicated, 36-bed Approved Specialist Unit, delivering evidence-based, compassionate care to individuals with eating disorders. The Senior Dietitian will work closely alongside two other specialist dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide expert nutritional assessment, intervention, and support for patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced dietetic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients with eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, and binge eating disorder.
- Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans that support medical stabilisation, weight restoration, and psychological recovery goals.
- Work collaboratively with the MDT including psychiatry, nursing, psychology, speech & language therapy, occupational therapy, and social work.
- Provide leadership, clinical supervision, and mentorship to junior dietitians and student placements as required.
- Contribute to the development and review of unit policies, procedures, and care pathways related to nutrition and eating disorders.
- Deliver staff training and education sessions across disciplines as part of capacity building within the team.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, contributing to audit, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in CPD and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current best practices in eating disorder management.
Essential Criteria:
- BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Dietetics
- CORU registration
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year working in a relevant mental health, eating disorder, or acute care setting preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of eating disorders
