Senior Dietician (CDNT)
Applications are invited for the following temporary positions of Senior Dieticians in Children’s Disability Network Teams.
HSE Children’s Disability Services CHO8 MLM currently hold 3 vacant 0.5 WTE Snr Dietician Posts in three Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs).
HSE Children’s Disability Services will consider combining 2 X 0.5 WTE post to make 1WTE and then an O.5 WTE in a CDNT, depending on the successful candidates
CDNTs Location and base of vacancies:
- Longford town in Co. Longford.
- Athlone in Co.Westmeath
- Portlaoise in Co. Laois
Contract:
Temporary agency commencing with 6mth period with a view to extending depending on candidate suitability.
Salary
Full time (35HPW) Salary: WTE €58,599 – €68,998
Part Time (17.5 HPW) Salary: 0.5 WTE €29,299.50 – €34499.00
The Children’s Disability Network Teams provide a Family Centred, Interdisciplinary Team Service to children with complex disability needs aged 0 to 18yrs in their local community. The successful candidate will work as part of the interdisciplinary team providing a team based service to CDNT children and young people and their families as per the HSE National Health Policy, Progressing Disability Services for children and young people.
Essential criteria
- Hold a Dietitian qualification recognised by CORU
- Evidence of current registration on the Dietitian register of CORU, maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU
- Have three years post qualification experience relevant dietetic experience
- Full Clean Driving Licence with use of a car
All Applicants should have
- Experience working with people with disability and complex needs
- Experience working with children/young people requiring enteral feeding
- Experience of working with children /young people with aversive feeding disorders desirable
- Knowledge of relevant national nutrition clinical guidelines and policies and HIQA standards.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills. In addition they must possess good planning, organisation and effective time management skills together with the ability to work in a team and on their own initiative.
