Psychology Assistant
Medforce Recruitment are seeking a Psychology Assistant to join the Primary Care Adult Psychology Service based in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain valuable clinical experience within a supportive and experienced Primary Care team.
Key Responsibilities of the Psychology Assistant:
- Provide support to qualified psychologists in delivering psychological services to adult clients.
- Assist with psychological assessments, formulation, and interventions under supervision.
- Carry out administrative tasks, maintain client records, and support data collection for service evaluation.
- Contribute to health promotion and psychoeducational initiatives within the Primary Care setting.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development activities.
Essential Requirements for the Psychology Assistant:
- A degree in Psychology (Level 8 or higher).
- Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
- Experience working in a healthcare, community, or mental health setting (placement or professional).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience in adult mental health or Primary Care settings.
- Familiarity with psychological assessment tools and interventions.
