We are inviting applications for a Staff Grade Psychologist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Longford. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a progressive, multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.
About the Role:
As part of the CDNT, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-quality, family-centred services. You’ll carry out psychological assessments, develop and implement intervention plans, and support families and professionals in understanding and meeting the needs of children.
Key Responsibilities of the Psychologist:
- Conduct developmental, cognitive, and emotional assessments
- Collaborate closely with families, schools, and interdisciplinary team members
- Contribute to care planning, intervention, and progress reviews
- Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and service development initiatives
Essential Requirements for the Psychologist:
- A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Educational, or Counselling Psychology
- PSI registration (or eligibility for registration)
- Experience working with children and families, ideally in disability or developmental settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills
Desirable:
- Experience within a CDNT or multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with autism assessment tools, behavioural support, or family-based interventions
