Psychologist – Children Disabilities (Dublin/Meath)
Medforce is excited to present an opportunity for a Staff and Senior Grade Psychologists – Children Disability networks in both Dublin and Meath.
Join our team dedicated to providing a Family-Centered, Interdisciplinary Service for children aged 0 to 18 with complex disability needs within their local community. As part of the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT), you’ll collaborate with Senior Psychologists, delivering comprehensive support to children, young people, and their families.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a recognized University degree or Diploma (QQ1 level 8 Equivalent) with Psychology as a major subject, achieving 1st or 2nd class honors.
- Possess a recognized postgraduate professional qualification in clinical, counseling, or educational psychology, validated by the Department of Health. Applications from 2023 Doctoral Graduates are welcome.
- For applicants qualified outside the Republic of Ireland, ensure qualifications are validated by the Department of Health and Children and the Psychological Society of Ireland.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and caseload management skills. Strong planning, organization, and time management abilities are essential, along with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in assessing and delivering clinical interventions for children with complex disability needs, including physical, sensory, intellectual disability, and/or autism.
- Previous work experience or training placements in disability services for children.
- Familiarity with supporting children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
- Proficiency in assisting children and families/carers in managing challenging behaviors.
- Experience with Family-Centered approaches in goal setting.
