Medforce in partnership with an Intellectual Disabilty Service in North Co. Dublin are seeking Professionally Qualified Social Worker’s. Our client provide’s a supportive and caring environment where our service users can thrive. We are currently seeking a Professionally Qualified Social Worker to join our team on an 8-week contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and funding availability.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Professionally Qualified Social Worker at our Intellectual Disability Service Facility, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of service users’ intellectual, emotional, and social needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Providing counseling and emotional support to service users and their families.
- Advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Liaising with external agencies and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for service users.
- Participating in team meetings and case conferences to review progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions.
Qualifications:
- A professionally recognized qualification in Social Work.
- Registration with the Irish Social Work Registration Board (CORU).
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
